Barb Keller

We ran into Barb when the whole team was out plant shopping for the studio.  In the midst of picking out a slew of trees and greens for our workspace was this gem of a woman. She was all at once beautiful and feminine, gritty and hardworking.  She was expertly layered in coveralls, boots, and an indigo scarf.  We had just launched the SS15 collection, and she was so clearly the kind of woman who inspired the season's designs.  The next day we headed back out to Hewitt's to photograph Barb in our new pieces and get to know her a bit better.  She's the woman so many aspire to be - a natural beauty and totally effortless.  Thank you so much for spending the day with us, Barb!

City: Arrington, TN

Occupation: Hewitt’s Garden and Design Center

Free Time: Working in my yard, hiking in the woods which surround our property, wasting time on the internet!

Weekend Plans: If the beautiful spring weather holds I will definitely be cleaning out the beds in our yard, going for a long run, and general spring cleaning.

Dream: I would love to own a small vegetable and wildflower farm, complete with a donkey, chickens, and a pig or two.

Tunes: Being from Texas, I was raised on country music which is still my favorite, but I also love Stevie Nicks, Journey, the whole 70s rock and roll. I can even listen to some of my boys’ rap.

Reads: I am currently re-reading “Memoirs of a Geisha” by Arthur Golden and “Eat. Nourish. Glow.” by Amelia Freer.

Eats: I think healthy eating is so imperative to feeling your best. I try to get 90% of my diet from natural sources. If it has a bar code, I try to steer clear of it. It’s not always the easiest or fastest way to eat, but I cannot tell you how much better I feel when I am able to stick to eating healthy, real food.

ES Favorites: This is the hardest question! I did not wear a single piece that I did not love. The quality and comfort is outstanding. If I was forced to choose my favorite I would say the Keaton Jumpsuit paired with the Cocoon Trench. Both are so versatile and stunning.

If you're in Tennessee, take a trip out to Hewitt's and say "Hi" to Barb for us!
