Our Spring/Summer Collection this year was designed for the heat, for the outdoors, for the sticky, humid days in the middle of summer where the sun is high and you don’t want anything touching your skin. We had the opportunity to capture that still, sweet, feeling right here in Nashville. We traveled up to the Narrows of the Harpeth, expecting it to be a sunny, hot summer day. It was over 90 degrees by 9AM. We embraced the harsh, mid-day light, the beads of sweat on our models brow. This shoot, perhaps more than most, was a true representation of the inspiration behind and functionality of a collection. The natural cotton, hemp, and silk fabrics are meant to absorb moisture. The silhouettes are cut to stand away from the body and let air flow across your skin - all illustrated on a woman we are inspired by and call a friend.
These images are beautiful in their own right - when shooting with Zachary that’s always the case - but I am even more fulfilled by the resolution this shoot brings to this collection. It was inspired by shapes, the outdoors, traveling, heat, and over the past several months we’ve been able to visually document every facet and explore those concepts. This season, I’m not only proud of the collection itself, but I’m proud of the way we’ve brought it to life, and of the way you have each picked up on the story and made these pieces your own...
"I've been wearing [these pieces] on a weekly basis since they arrived. I can honestly say Elizabeth Suzann is worth the wait if you're serious about responsible fashion and true craftsmanship." - Alex
