  • Description

This magical piece is something I’ve been wanting in my own wardrobe for years. Updated this season with a new merino wool yarn and a bit of added length. The perfect cropped, lightweight layering sweater - the one I imagine 90’s Kate Moss in, the one we see Eva Hesse wearing in every black and white photo, the one Holly Golightly would wear on her off days (when she’s not trolling the Tiffany’s window). A piece that transcends decade and season, and the thing you’ll reach for every day of the week and throw on over dresses, under jackets, with silk skirts and worn in jeans. Full-length sleeves that can peek out from coat sleeves or be pushed up casually to the elbow. A subtle mock neck that looks good on literally everybody. Edges are finished with the most delicate roll - they are durable and clean but feel raw and artful. A great piece all winter long, but also well into Spring layered under a Georgia Tee in Flax Linen or over the Florence Pant in Silk Crepe.

Our knit collection is produced in collaboration with our friends Kordal Knitwear from NYC - read more about the project here.

2017 Updates: This season the Rhodes has about an inch more length in the body and is knit with a merino wool yarn that is slightly lighter in weight, richer in color, and more resistant to pilling. It's bouncy, light, and delicious!

Love this style? It comes in two other colors! Shop Ivy or Black.

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Merino Wool Knit

    Fiber Content: 100% Merino Wool

Description: A washed merino wool knit that is ultra lightweight and super soft. Warm despite its lightweight feel, and excellent for layering. Good stretch retention. Wool is an incredible natural fiber - insulating, water-resistant, durable, biodegradable, and renewable. This is wool in its most elegant form, fine and smooth with a delicate touch.

Care: Handwash with cold water. Lay flat to dry.

*Wool is a natural fiber and will pill with wear in areas of friction. To remove pills, you can trim carefully with small scissors or use a sweater stone.
