The fit of the Georgia in sizes XXS/XS and S/M has remained the same for this edition. We did make the L/XL, 1X/2X, and 3X/4X slightly larger to better align with our size chart, so please double-check the garment measurements before ordering!
Our favorite, essential shift dress. The Georgia is one of the first styles I designed, and the pattern was drafted with adaptive fit in mind. The shoulder seam and sleeve without an armscye look intentional on all shoulder breadths, the substantial cuff wings out and draws clean lines on any arm, and the just-above-the-knee length works for just about every body. Perfect on it's own, or my favorite way to wear it: layered over comfy, cropped pants.
This is the dress version of our Georgia Tee, which was influenced by effortless caftans from the '60s and '70s but with less material and more practicality in mind. I also drew on neat, crisp blouses from the '40s when women started wearing separates to work. Architectural drama and movement paired with structure and simplicity. A dress that can go anywhere and do just about anything.
It hits just above the knee, and the hem dips a bit longer in the back. You can lounge, explore a city, or sprint after a toddler in this dress. Serves as a dress, tunic, or coverup—it's up to you.
100% Linen, Oeko-Tex certified. Medium weight, sturdy broadcloth that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. Linen possesses natural strength and durability, and it's a super friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing, and is hypoallergenic, comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent.
Linen is a natural fiber made from cellulose fiber inside the stalks of the flax plant. It is a complete product of nature, and can vary drastically in color and texture based on the growing conditions of the season. Variations in base color and texture are not uncommon.
Natural imperfections in weave are also to be expected and embraced--slubs, nubs, and occasional bits of organic matter are common in linen. If you are looking for the homogeny and perfection of a synthetic fiber or a finely woven cotton you will not find it in linen.
Wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry warm. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.
Linen is a natural fiber and is expected to wear and fade over time, which we love.

I keep a capsule wardrobe. This dress is a great addition. Alone or with a Jean jacket, it’s a “go to” several times in a week. It washes perfectly. I have a few pieces now, old and new.

I thought this dress would have the same fit as the Harper but I found that the midi style was more fitted in my usual size, so I sized up when I ordered this in olive. I love it. It works as a dress, a tunic over pants or a coverup. Now I want it in black and flax too!

I love this dress. The olive color is so beautiful. The linen is high quality so I know it will last for years. And the cut of the dress is exceptional. It skims the body hiding all my flaws. I wear this dress during the day with my Birkenstocks. Yet it is also perfect for going out at night, simply by wearing heels.

A staple in my closet--I constantly go for this slightly flowy and very comfortable simple black dress. Easy to dress up with a statement necklace or dress down with some leggings and boots.

I'm not sure what I can say about the Georgia Dress that hasn't already been said. So, I'll echo everyone else and confirm that this is the perfect dress. It feels good on, so good, in fact, that I forget about it entirely. To quote Yossy Arefi's "Clothing Is" piece, this dress "make you feel like yourself and then get[s] out of the way."
