  • Description

The essential, classic, forever pant. Its deep, open pockets are cut a little wider than the pant leg giving plenty of room to hold a myriad of important things like your cell phone, car keys, pens, snacks, small animals... The center front and back seams replace the side seam on the leg giving it a long, lean look and allowing the crescent-moon-shaped pocket to span from front to back.

In midweight linen, these feel seasonless and relaxed. Pair with a cashmere sweater and sneaks, and wear it for an entire weekend trip to the mountains, or wear them cuffed in the summer with a silk tank. Or, do what I do, and wear them all the time as very stylish pajamas that allow you to go from your couch to the real world without changing a thing.

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Midweight Linen

    Fiber Content: 100% Linen

Description: Medium weight, sturdy broadcloth linen that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. Linen possesses natural strength and durability, and it's a super friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing and is virtually lint-free, hypoallergenic, comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent.

Care: Machine washable. Wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry warm. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look (as pictured here), or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.

*Linen is a natural fiber and will fade and wear over time, which we love. If you prefer your garments to not show as much wear, hand wash and do not tumble dry.

  • Sizing & Fit

Intended to be worn high at the natural waist with a relaxed fit through the hip and leg. Pockets stand away from hips, and the tapered leg hits above the ankle. The linen pattern is approximately 1/2 size smaller than the canvas pattern because the linen will stretch out quickly with wear. They will feel slightly snug at first but should relax after a few minutes.

*Garment measurements were taken flat, so double where necessary. All measurements are approximate, +/- a tolerance that is to be expected with handmade clothing.

Select your size with your hip measurement in mind as you want to make sure you'll be able to pull them up. On some bodies, you'll need to shimmy a bit to get them over your hips, but once they are on, they should feel great!

Pants that really fit

I feel like these pants were made for me, which is not how I ever feel about pants. They are comfortable and good for all CA seasons. I love the olive color and just ordered another pair in black. And the pockets! Very flattering on someone like me with straight hips, and oh so useful.

LOVE - but a little looser than would like

Per reviews and sizing suggestions, I went with a 4 (my usual size), mostly to ensure the waist band fit comfortably, which it 100% does. That said, the structure is loose for my taste, it has a baggy/slouchy lounge look and I was looking for something a little thinner/tailored.

The pants overall are incredibly comfortable and I wear them everyday (unless I'm wearing my black cotton Clyde work pants!). The 4 stars comes from the upper leg area slouchiness, it's JUST a touch too slouchy. I'm not disappointed really, I thought this might be a problem, and have simply considered trading them on selltradees for a size 2. I got the Clyde Work Pants in black cotton size 2 and I like the structure a lot more and the waist band relaxes quite a bit so it's still very comfortable.

The color is beautiful, the pants breathe very well (though I haven't worn them during the summer yet), and the length for me is perfect.

The pants look wonderful with black boots, leather woven mules, and pink onitsuka tiger sneakers. It's slightly tricky dressing the pants up, but doable with a silk blouse/shirt or a nice sweater.

I cannot wait to get another pair (in size 2), if only my bank account were as excited!

"Burrito + a 40" pants

A proud owner of two pair of Clyde work pants, and the pockets are truly what make it a liberating experience.

Phone, keys, transit card, my not-so-small wallet, dog treats — I could literally run out of the house with everything I need, and the pockets stand up to all of it. It's also the only pants I will travel in.

They're so great, that I call them my "a burrito and a 40" pants — because you could fit one whole Mission burrito in one pocket, and a 40 oz beer in another. And yes, I have attempted this and yes, the pants still stay up!

The fit is great overall and super flattering for french-tucking a billowy shirt and awesome for layering. My only nitpick would be the narrowness of the ankle — my feet go through just fine, but when I sit down and the pant leg rides up, it's a little tight around the calf.

I'd wear these pants everyday if I could.

Easy comfy cool

Really easy to wear! Goes well with almost everything. The only reason it isn’t a 5 is because the linen is a bit too heavy for the summer. Find myself a bit too warm on hot days. Will wait for cooler months and I’m sure they will be in heavy rotation! Love the easy style.

Comfortable and unique

I love these pants in linen. I own an older black linen pair in the old size 12. They are significantly more baggy and look less architectural, because of the size. I ordered the olive linen in a ten in the new sizing even though I wear a 12 in the cotton canvas. I love the slimmer fit, the pockets are great, and the color is lovely. They are super comfy and unique looking. The major downside is how quickly the linen wears at the thighs. I had to get my black pair repaired after one season and the repair has already blown through after one more. These are pricey pants to last just one summer. I wish the thighs could be preemptively reinforced.

The Perfect Pants

If I could wear these pants everyday, I would. I am considering buying one in every colour so I can do just that! I got a pair in flax and olive, and they are both great colours that are super easy to style. When I first tried them on, they were really snug so I was worried that I'd got the wrong size, but after a couple of minutes of wear, they softened up considerably, and they are now a perfect fit. It's winter in Australia so I've been wearing them with leggings underneath, and they're definitely warm enough for mild winters. I know I'll be able to wear these pants year round, so they're such a good investment. I just love them :)

Amazing Pants

I love these pants. They’re thick enough to wear in winter, but will be breezy enough for spring and fall.

Everyday work pant

This is a great everyday work pant, and the olive linen is my 3rd pair. I like slim fitting of the legs as an alternative to skinny jeans in hot humid weather. The huge side pockets are everything! In terms of sizing, sz 2 is tts for me as linen will give as you wear it more. The knee and hip do become loose over time, but after wash it comes back a bit. The calves may fit a bit tight during first wear, but linen will relax over time. In terms of length, although I fall on the short side, the regular length works best for me, and it hits my ankle as a regular work pant while cuffed it's the length of the short. It's a stable in my workwear clothes! Can I also say, the new olive green is beautiful, but I also love my flax and navy linen ones!
