And to get back to the point of my story , I brought along my new Clyde jacket in navy cotton canvas . I LOVE this piece !!!!!!! The weather has been variable . From cold and wet to warm and sunny , this jacket is THE perfect companion . I am a fan of scarves to brighten me lovely face and they are perfect with this jacket . The pockets are so useful !!
I visited a market in Cork yesterday and was approached by a beautiful young Chinese student who asked me to take a few pictures of her . She made my day by telling me that she chose me because I looked so elegant !!! I tell you folks , it’s the jacket !!!!!!! ❤️
I also have this jacket in black linen and that, paired with the black linen Florence pants, is my go to travel outfit. I look instantly put together but am simultaneously comfortable and heat regulated. The jacket in both fabrics is a great piece for almost every season (linen in the spring and summer; canvas in the fall and spring). Get it; you're going to love it.
The clay canvas looks like workwear, but the cut is super sophisticated. And let's not forget the pockets! It's fantastic to be able to stash my phone, train fare, and ipod/headphones in there during my commute so I don't have to dive into my backpack. They also double as excellent handwarmer compartments.
There is additional width around the front of the jacket to wrap around your body, the back being narrower and quite flattering.
For my wardrobe this is a departure, but I enjoy finding the right combination of jeans, and top to fit the style of the coat.
Also, works well with sweaters underneath, or sleeveless tops depending on the day.
Thank you ES.
So I have very broad shoulders and narrow hips. I purchased the Large when in I typically would have went for a XXL. After reading the reviews and size chart I went with the L. It fits oversized without looking frumpy and I definately have room to layer underneath to use this as a light jacket. I can't wait!
