The Harper Apron is the newest member of our popular Harper Series. All the functionality of our classic Harper Tunic, but with a second pocket and designed for layering. Modeled after popover aprons popular in the mid-20th century, this piece will truly protect your garments underneath from mess. Pull on over the head; low, deep-cut armholes provide plenty of room for layers and movement. Full body panels provide complete coverage from whatever exciting project you're undertaking, and two large, separate pockets store everything you need. Cooking dinner, working in the garden, photographing a wedding, painting your house, feeding a baby—do it all in the Harper Apron. The best thing about this piece is that it's not immediately recognizable as an apron, so you can wear it simply as a garment. If you're like me and wish you could just be wearing an apron all the time, this style will prove incredibly useful and comfortable. Especially smart-looking if you wear it layered over a monochromatic turtleneck or slim T-shirt and straight-leg trousers.

Cut from our classic, sturdy midweight linen. A year-round fabric with weight and substance, but also lightness and movement. Natural imperfections and variation in weave give this material a rich, earthy feel.

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Midweight Linen

    Fiber Content: 100% Linen

Description: Medium weight, sturdy broadcloth linen that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. Linen possesses natural strength and durability, and it's a super friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing and is virtually lint-free, hypoallergenic, comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent.

Care: Machine washable. Wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry warm. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look (as pictured here), or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.

*Linen is a natural fiber and will fade and wear over time, which we love. If you prefer your garments to not show as much wear, hand wash, and do not tumble dry.

  • Sizing & Fit

Intended to have a loose, oversized fit. The low, deep-cut armholes allow you to layer this apron over other garments with ease. It's meant to be worn as a layering piece, but feel free to wear it solo with a fun undergarment.

Great for running workshops

I like to wear this when I'm running a workshop - I've got space to put my glasses, marker pens, presentation clicker, a thing for tying my hair back, and somewhere to put my hands. There's something comforting about being able to put your hands in your pockets when you are standing in front of an audience.
