Tell us a little bit about yourself: My days are spent in a variety of settings, from office, to conference room, to construction site and finally home where I like to knit, read, and cook - five ingredient, one pot recipes only. Organizing my closet is a favorite weekend activity, as well as exploring Atlanta's restaurant scene. When I'm not feeling particularly inspired, I put on my pajamas and crawl under a blanket for a TNG marathon.
What you love about ES: I have lived a lifetime wishing my body were a garment, something I could remove, so that I could more freely move about the world, able to experience it without doubt, fear, and regret. Slipping on the Olina Jumpsuit, with its buttery texture and effortless form, felt like being embraced by a lover, a friend, telling me this body, I, was enough. More than enough, beautiful, worthy. Worthy of respect and love, but also of clothing that was thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted. I could see and feel the hundreds of hours spent designing, cutting, and sewing the Olina. It was as if every hand that had touched it, from the initial sketches to the final packaging, now enveloped me in an embrace of acceptance. Knowing that every piece Elizabeth Suzann produces is designed and crafted with such care, using environmentally sustainable materials of the highest quality, is inspiring. It is why I will continue to support ES through the purchase and wearing of their garments in every aspect of my life, knowing they will only get better with time, and sharing their story with everyone. Finally, as a city planner, I applaud ES's efforts as a local business, one that employs craftsman from Nashville and utilizes existing industrial and commercial space, supporting the growth of such a vibrant city and the people that make it unique.
