  • Description

The Cocoon Coat is the first jacket we ever designed, and we're so thrilled to have it back. Inspired by the cocoon shapes of 1920s outerwear and the effortlessness of a jacket thrown casually over the shoulders, the structural silhouette is oversized yet flattering at the same time. Three-quarter length dolman sleeves don't get in the way of your hands, and look great with a shirt or sweater cuff peeking out from underneath.

Heavyweight Wool is warm but still wears lightly on the body, making this jacket ultra-comfortable for all-day wear and creative layering. The washed Silk Crepe lining is super luxurious against the skin and allows for ease of movement. Throw this jacket on over just about anything this fall and winter: your sweaters and trousers, cocktail dresses, or another coat, or use it as a blanket on the train. A true three-season piece, it works for even colder weather with full-length sweater sleeves and gloves and a pretty blanket pin to keep it closed.

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Heavyweight Wool

Fiber Content: 60% Climate Beneficial Wool, 40% Alpaca, domestically sourced

Description: An immeasurably soft, heavyweight, plainweave wool that holds the shape of our garments with integrity. Gorgeous visible texture and supple, rich handfeel. Not at all itchy, and super warm without excessive weight. Our wool-alpaca blend is as breathable as it is insulating. Because of its moisture wicking properties, it’s sure to keep you comfortable on a brisk winter day. Our wool is washed in house to give it a brushed, organic finish. Heathered yarn blends natural and colored fiber together for a variegated, earthy appearance.

Care: Hand wash with cold water and wool detergent. Lay flat to dry. For a sharp suiting look, press on high heat with steam and a wool clapper.

*Due to wool's short staple fibers, some pilling is to be expected in areas of high friction. Use a wool brick or sweater shaver to remove pills.

Really beautiful

I love my cocoon coat. It is structured yet has movement and just looks really artsy and interesting. It's heavy weight and keeps me warm but is not suffocating at all given the sleeve length and open body. The only complaint I have is that they don't have a size smaller than OSM. I'm not tiny by any means but this coat still tends to feel a little overwhelming sometimes.

Gorgeous coat. Sophisticated and still

Gorgeous coat. Sophisticated and still cosy. You have to be ok with the shorter sleeves, no pockets and obviously the price tag. But the coat is magic and I get complements whenever I wear it.

Effortlessly chic

I love items in my closet that I can just throw up and instantly make me look chic and put together. I've worn this coat on my different occasions like grocery shopping, getting coffee, date night, work, etc. It is very versatile and can be dressed up or down. I got the charcoal color and love it. I wish this coat came with pockets but that is a very minor inconvenience.
