    The Parabola Dress, aptly named by one of our brilliant sewers for the curved hip panels on each side, features slim, long sleeves and a high boat neck that are sleek and interesting. Parabola-shaped inset panels at the hips provide body, shape, and swing that move with you. This dress wears as a nontraditional A-line, evolved from our archived Lara Series; the neck and sleeves are the same as the Lara you remember, but from the waist down, the design diverges with curiosity. The curves provide drama and movement without widening the whole body. The swing around the hips suggests the classic, evocative S-curve that is so often found in nature, appearing oversized and avant-garde. An implication of hourglass without exploitation of the body underneath.

    This dress looks perfectly at home over bare legs and feet, but also layers very well over pants. I love it worn over the Andy Trouser in Silk Crepe for ultimate comfort and a distinct art professor vibe.

    Cut from our luscious, washed silk crepe de Chine that drapes and moves like liquid. Feels like butter with a muted, ultra-soft finish and a barely-there sheen visible only with motion. A touch of elegance, but also a hardworking fabric that can be washed and worn with ease.

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Silk Crepe

    Fiber Content: 100% Silk

    Description: A washed silk crepe de Chine that drapes and moves like liquid. It has a muted, ultra-soft feel with a barely-there sheen visible only with movement. This is an extremely high quality and medium-weight crepe that was custom developed just for us—meant to be worn, not coddled. All of our silk is garment-washed, so it has a lustrous yet matte finish and is totally machine washable.

    Care: Machine washable. Wash on gentle cycle with cool water. Tumble dry on medium heat. Hems, necklines, and sleeves will wrinkle. Press with steam to shape, and they'll return to crisp edges.

    *Silk is a natural fiber and will fade and wear over time, which we love. If you prefer your garments to not show as much wear, hand wash and do not tumble dry.

  • Sizing & Fit

    Intended to have a relaxed, oversized fit. It's slimmer through the waist with a swing in the hips. Drop sleeves are slim but not tight and slightly cropped. Size down for a slimmer look.

    Your ES garment is cut, sewn, washed, dried, and packed up for you all in our Nashville warehouse. We encourage you to read a couple of our favorite blog posts on pricing and Liz’s entrepreneurial story while you wait!
