The Harper Jacket is my new favorite piece in our Signature Collection. It’s an amalgamation of many of my favorite patterns. It adopted the sleeve from our ever-popular Cocoon Coat, the pockets from our Harper Tunic, a back vent that matches the side vents on our Josephine Tunic, and a collar reminiscent of our Clyde Jacket. Intended to evoke the feeling of a men’s blazer tossed casually over the shoulders. A well-placed dart in the shawl collar urges the lapel to lay open and flat, but it can also be pulled around you and pinned closed for a very interesting shape and more warmth. The back vent suggests coat-tails and allows for breezy movement and less restriction as you walk. Two large pockets hold everything and then some. Finally, the slightly lengthened dolman sleeves have soft lines and the cuffs hit at just the right part of the forearm to show a long sleeve peeking out from underneath, but nothing looks out of sorts if you’re bare-armed either.

I love this worn over mixed textures like a light sweater and silk trousers or with matching materials to create a full-on power suit.

Love this style? It comes in other fabrics and colors too. Shop the Harper Jacket Series!

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Cotton Canvas

    Fiber Content: 100% Cotton

Description: Heavyweight, workhorse fabric with a distinctly architectural feel. The weave is one of the most durable - resisting pilling, thinning, and tearing by nature of its very structure. It has sturdy body and weight and will break in and patina beautifully with wear. Looks great pressed crisp or rumpled and worn.

Care: Machine washable. Wash on cold, tumble dry warm. Press on low with steam to remove wrinkles, or leave unpressed for a perfectly unfussy look. Will break in and soften significantly over time.

*Cotton is a natural fiber and will fade and wear over time, which we love. If you prefer your garments to not show as much wear, hand wash and do not tumble dry.

Intended to have a relaxed, oversized fit. Open front allows for versatility in sizing. Dolman sleeves are accomodating and slightly cropped to allow for layering and to avoid visual bulk. Size down for a slimmer look.

Generous 3" bottom hem allows for easy length adjustments by a tailor.
