Our classic Eva neckline on a simple, understated tee. This neckline was inspired by one of my favorite artists, Eva Hesse, and the organic, dynamic forms she created with unexpected materials. The slit-like opening at the neck is an interpretation of her sculpture, Tori, and it's both modest and suggestive all at once. All the best features of your favorite vintage tee - a just barely cropped length, slim but not tight fit through the body, and substantial, quality fabric. The sleeves are cut full and at an angle leaving plenty of room around the bicep. This allows for total ease of movement and a much more flattering look than the typically snug sleeves found on basic tees. Organic, bias cut rolled edges trim all of the openings - a finish that honors the nature of the material and gels perfectly with the story behind the garment. This trim doesn't interfere with or contradict the nature of the fabric - it feels more like an extension of the way the material wants to behave naturally.
All of these elements together result in a seemingly simple tee that's actually anything but. Pair it with matching bottoms for a surprisingly elegant look, or layer under jumpsuits and dresses for a workwear feel. Designed by Elizabeth Suzann and produced in collaboration with Alabama Chanin, each garment is impeccably crafted with 100% organic cotton knit and colored using low impact dyes.
The Eva Tee also comes in Natural, Ochre, and Plum.
