  • Description

There are a handful of garments that I wear over and over again, and this tunic captures the best elements of those staples - an easy, unfussy fit, half sleeves that stay out of the way, flattering mid-thigh length, and one big pocket to catch all the miscellany I end up with throughout the day.

The cut skims the body loosely making it ideal for layering in the fall and winter. It's my favorite tunic to wear to the studio - when you're working, comfort is key, but you still want to look put together. The Harper has an interesting and avant-garde appeal, and it would only be improved by drips and smears of paint or a dusting of flour from the kitchen.

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Midweight Linen

    Fiber Content: 100% Linen

Description: Medium weight, sturdy broadcloth linen that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. Linen possesses natural strength and durability, and it's a super friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing and is virtually lint free, hypoallergenic, comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent.

Care: Machine washable. Wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry warm. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look (as pictured here), or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.

*Linen is a natural fiber and will fade and wear over time - which we love. If you prefer your garments to not show as much wear, hand wash and do not tumble dry.

Natalie’s waist places her in a Medium while her hips place her in a Large. To demonstrate a slimmer fit, Natalie wears a Medium in our product photos. Please note that sizing down may cause quicker wear and tear on a garment. If you too are in between sizes and intend to wear your pant regularly, then we suggest sizing up, particularly in Silk Crepe.

I reach for the Harper

I reach for the Harper multiple times a week and have ordered the long-sleeved version as well. I bought it during the third trimester of my recent pregnancy and love it during this new phase as well. Comfort, quality, function (the pocket!!), and style all in one great piece.

Luv of my life

I love the oversize of this shirt and the large pockets that could fit a kitty. Reminds of the days when I was younger during the summer wearing oversized t-shirt on the island. Who knew you could still do that as adult but even during the rainy Vancouver weather. It came in beautiful paper which I will most definitely regift and a cute personalized note. Will definitely be buy more clothes in the future.

Perfect for cool summer days

The size, shape and drape makes this a great top for those days I'm not feeling my best. Comfortable, not-clingy, and a pocket! I wear these with cropped wide legged linen trousers. Like public pajamas.

Unique and beautiful tunic - OS Minus

The harper tunic in Flax has been one of my favorite pieces in my closet and one of my first purchases from ES. I absolutely love the longer length, the flowy linen fabric and the DREAM POCKET (seriously ES - you're pocket game is on point!). It's loose enough for hot, humid days and also wraps me right up when it's a bit chillier in the fall. It's an easy, unique and gorgeous top. I wear this several times a week, weather permitting and it's held up SO WELL - it's like brand new almost a year in. I'm 5"6", 117lb with a 26" waist and ordered the OS- it runs intentionally large (which makes is appealing) and I feel is the perfect relaxed fit. Love this tunic so much!

the easiest piece

My go-to, throw-on, over-anything, under-anything top. I have this in black linen and wear it in warm weather on its own, cold weather layered over a sweater or long-sleeve, as a cover-up by the pool and as a lounging around the house piece on lazy days. The linen took a while to soften up, but after washes and wears it is so comfy. When in doubt on what to wear, or when in a rush to get dressed, I always reach for this first. Plus, the huge sturdy pocket is an awesome bonus.

My go-to top!

I love my Harper Tunic in linen. I have been looking at this top for 2 years! I finally decided to make the investment. I read all the reviews to get a better idea of sizing as the size chart recommended a size OS (I have a 36" bust). After reading the reviews and other peoples sizes I decided to go for a OSM. I'm so glad I did as there is plenty of room and feels oversized as it is. Love the quality and even the care tag detail with hand-written size and signature of person who made my top. Thankyou!
