New vs. Old Cotton Canvas: This canvas feels very similar to our original conventional cotton canvas from 2015-2019. It is heavier and sturdier than the Upcycled Cotton Canvas from 2022, and more consistent in terms of weave and quality.

About This Fabric: A durable, 10oz duck canvas. This is a workhorse material with a distinctly architectural feel. This plain, tight weave with two warp yarns and one weft is one of the most durable—resisting pilling, thinning, and tearing by nature of its very structure. It has a sturdy body that's relatively stiff at first, but will break in and patina beautifully with wear. Looks great pressed crisp or rumpled and worn.

Beneath the Surface: This cotton is organically grown. Why does that matter? Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. Organic cotton is also grown without the use of genetically engineered seed. This material uses low impact dyes, which minimize water usage and utilize environmentally friendly coloring agents.

Care: Machine washable. Wash on cold and tumble dry warm to preserve color. Press on low with steam to remove wrinkles or leave unpressed for a perfectly unfussy look. Will break in and soften with wear.

What to Expect: Cotton is a natural fiber and is expected to wear and fade over time, which we love.
