Tell me about this workshop!
In this workshop you'll sew a cozy, coordinated lounge capsule using knit fabrics—a Georgia Tee and Florence Pant, made to be worn together or separately.
We'll cover everything you need to know about working with knit fabrics: how to choose the right knit for each garment, how to cut and handle stretchy material, which stitches and settings to use on your machine, and how to finish seams and hems for a polished, comfortable result.
You'll end the workshop with two complete, wearable pieces that feel like your coziest outfit—made by you.
This workshop is a great option if knit fabrics have felt intimidating or frustrating to work with. With the right guidance and setup, knits are actually super forgiving—and incredibly satisfying to sew.
Who is this for?
Suitable for beginner and intermediate sewists. If you've sewn a garment or two before and want to expand into knit fabrics, this is the perfect next step!

How do live virtual workshops work?
This is a live, 4-week workshop hosted virtually. You'll get access to our workshop platform which has a community forum, other resources and guides, and the live video classes (it functions just like a Zoom call) along with the recordings after each class.
I teach the entire project live and you are able to ask questions and interact in real-time. The recorded classes are then available to you for life to re-watch at your convenience.
What's included?

- Florence Pant digital pattern: our popular, relaxed-fit trouser PDF pattern
- Supply & fabric guide: curated recommendations for knit fabric, notions, and machine setup to ensure success
- Option to purchase printed patterns: students will have the option to purchase printed copies of the patterns before the workshop starts if you choose
-
Live Classes

- Lifetime membership: you are able to remain in this group for life for continued support and guidance
What tools/equipment do I need to have?
- A sewing machine in good working order capable of a straight stitch and a zig-zag stitch (a serger is helpful but not required)
- At least two new, sharp ballpoint or stretch machine needles (these are essential for knit fabrics!)
- Fabric shears
- Pins and/or pattern weights
- Seam ripper (mistakes are part of the process!)
- Iron and ironing board
What other supplies will I need?
- 1.5-2 yards of knit fabric for the Georgia Tee (a medium-weight jersey, interlock, or ponte works well)
- 2.5–3 yards of knit fabric for the Florence Pant (a ponte or heavier jersey is ideal)
- All-purpose polyester thread or wooly nylon thread for finishing seams. I recommend Gutermann Mara 100 as a reliable all-purpose option
- Clear gridded ruler with 1/8" markings
- Tailors chalk or fabric marking pen
- Elastic for the waistband (at least 6-10 inches more than your actual waist measurement for safety)
- Pencil/pens
- Printed copies of both patterns (digital patterns are included with the workshop, you can print at home or order full-size printed copies prior to the workshop)
What happens next?
Immediately after you check-out, you'll receive an email with an invitation to our private Skool group. This will let you access our community platform, and this is where the workshop classes will be hosted when they occur.
Once you're logged in, you'll find a brief video that walks you through the platform, and then you can start exploring right away.
You'll get an email from me as the workshop date approaches with more information about downloading your pattern files and starting to gather your tools and supplies!
