Good News to Know
  • Made with 100% natural fibers–they’re renewable, feel exquisite to wear, and biodegrade at the end of their life. We garment wash all of our clothing, so your order arrives pre-shrunk and wonderfully softened.
  • Every garment is hand cut and sewn by Sew Co., a Living Wage Certified, low-waste facility located in Asheville, North Carolina’s River Arts District.

This is the tunic I dream about every year in the middle of summer when the heat is a tangible force in the air. The low, free armholes, deep-v back, and wide trapeze panels hang away from your body the way you want everything to when your skin is damp and the sun is high. This piece embodies movement and represents breeze. The slightest movement will billow the fabric in a captivating, delicious swish. The Harlow is meant for days spent puttering around the garden or for nights spent strolling the city.

But guess what? When summer's over, it springs effortlessly into action for the fall—layer over a thin turtleneck for a jumper effect or under a chunky, a-line sweater to provide a bit of skirting (my favorite)!

It has a simple but striking, sleeveless cut with low geometric armholes and billowing side panels. Its deep V back lets air in for ultimate comfort. The flattering, high-scoop neck and smartly-cut shoulders pair flawlessly with the dramatic trapeze shape. It hits around mid-thigh, providing coverage when you want, but you can also jaunt around sans pants at the beach or pool.

100% Linen, Oeko-Tex certified. Medium weight, sturdy broadcloth that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. Linen possesses natural strength and durability, and it's a super friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing, and is hypoallergenic, comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent.

Linen is a natural fiber made from cellulose fiber inside the stalks of the flax plant. It is a complete product of nature, and can vary drastically in color and texture based on the growing conditions of the season. Variations in base color and texture are not uncommon.

Natural imperfections in weave are also to be expected and embraced--slubs, nubs, and occasional bits of organic matter are common in linen. If you are looking for the homogeny and perfection of a synthetic fiber or a finely woven cotton you will not find it in linen.

Wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry warm. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.

Linen is a natural fiber and is expected to wear and fade over time, which we love.

    Awesome quality!

I’m 5’7, 136 lbs got xxs/xs. Overall fits well, quality linen (soft, opaque). It can be worn with V neck in front or V in the back for versatility. However, the armholes were cut a little weird or not big enough because it digs in a little no matter which direction you wear it. I might open it up a little bit more but overall this is a great investment piece.

    love it

Love the deep blue color, the feel and weight of the linen, and the design, how this hangs and flows. I wear it to work under jackets short and long now that the weather is cool, and look forward to wearing it next summer.

    Beautiful, swingy gorgeousness

I was worried that this might be too voluminous for someone who is already a bit voluminous on their own, but the cut and drape of this is fantastic and you feel very chic and a bit sexy with that low back, but don't worry, it's not so low as to be bra incompatible. Makes for a great summer look when you want to be a bit more chic.

Gorgeous piece and fabric as usual, but not the right fit for me

I loved this fabric so much, and the flowy feel. I have many pieces from ES and just love them all - I was surprised that I didn't love how the Harlow Tunic fit me. I felt that the armholes were slightly too small, and I am very small framed/ flat chested. I don't like huge armholes that show my bra underneath, but on this piece I felt it almost dug into my armpits a bit, and could be uncomfortable on hot sweaty days. I thought about going up a size, but then the piece overall would be bigger, and it is already quite long, flowy and roomy on the bottom. The neck hole was also just slightly too small, and I didn't like where the seam of the straps fell - normally they are on the top of my shoulders, but on this piece they were down, more on the front of my shoulders, which together with the armhole and neckhole feeling snug, gave the appearance of the piece just being too small for me. Overall I wish the top of the piece was roomier on me, without adding to the flowy/ bulkiness of the bottom - it just didn't work for me. I will be back for other pieces in this creamy-colored fabric though!
