The Petra Crop is a reincarnation of one of our earliest styles (The Lee Crop, a favorite from several Springs ago). A simple, classic crop top meant for summertime. Weekend getaways to Cape Cod - wear this paired with the matching Bel Skirt for afternoon oceanside walks or over the classic Andy Trouser to dinner and drinks. Simple, easy silhouette. High, boat neck, slim-fitting in the chest with bust darts, stands away from the body at the waist. Generous hem provides structure and balance. Carefully cut armholes hit right at the most flattering part of the shoulder - shows everything you want to show and nothing you don't. Cropped length hits at the natural waist and pairs perfectly with high-rise pants and skirts, layers well over slip-dresses.

Cut from a sturdy, structured, incredibly durable linen that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish, or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. It has luxurious body and weight, and the strength to stand up to years of daily wear. It will only soften and improve with age, a beautiful benefit of clothing meant for a life fully-lived.

  • Material & Care

    Midweight Linen

    100% Linen

This is a medium weight, sturdy, structured, incredibly durable broadcloth linen that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish, or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. It has luxurious body and weight, and the strength to stand up to years of daily wear. It will only soften and improve with age, starting out with a coarser finish but with the ability to become more supple and flexible with wear. We love linen because of the natural strength and durability the fiber possesses, and because it is a very friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing, is virtually lint-free, hypoallergenic, extremely comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent. It is also one of my favorite fabrics aesthetically - possessing such charm and texture in its variation, with a natural sheen that doesn't feel at all pretentious.

Available in four classic colors - a warm "Ivory," a natural "Flax," a rich "Navy," and a deep "Black."

Hand or machine wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry low. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look (as pictured here), or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles, straighten neckline, sleeves and hem. Will press to a crisp, smooth finish.

  • Sizing & Fit

Available in sizes XS-XL. See our size chart to determine your size.

Intended to have a slim but not tight fit. Fitted in the shoulder and bust and stands away from the body at waist. Cropped length hits just past natural waist.

The same exact style from SS16 - no pattern changes or sizing changes have been made! We got great feedback on the fit of this style, so didn’t mess with it. The Midweight Linen and Cotton Poplin tend to stand away from the body, whereas the Linen Gauze feels a bit more fitted because of the texture.
