A midi-length dress interpretation of our essential Petra Crop. I feel like I've been trying to design this dress for years—we've had the Marlena, the Elise, and everything in between. What I'm after is a strikingly simple, body-skimming-but-completely-comfortable silhouette that is just as at home strolling city streets to a small cafe on a sticky summer night as it is curled up at home on a rainy Saturday morning. Elegant but not overbearing, simple but not plain. Tasteful but not boring. I think we've gotten it right with the high boat neck, slim fit in the chest with bust darts, and how it stands away from the body at the waist. A generous hem provides foundational structure and balance. Carefully cut armholes hit right at the most flattering part of the shoulder— revealing everything you want to show and nothing you don't. Hits around mid-calf for the perfect balance of drama and ease.
Cut from our luscious, washed silk crepe de Chine that drapes and moves like liquid. Feels like butter with a muted, ultra-soft finish and a barely-there sheen visible only with motion. A touch of elegance, but also a hardworking fabric that can be washed and worn with ease.
