  • Description

Thin, winding, and delicate, this wrap belt can be worn so many different ways. I wanted to capture the layered, overlapping bound look of Grecian waist ties—textured, effortless, and never overwrought. You can use this belt to take our most oversized, fluid garments and create transformative shapes; subtle curves or dramatic cinching add endless options to your wardrobe. Wear it wrapped around the waist twice, crisscrossing, to create dynamic layers with the garment underneath. Knot in the front or back using a simple square knot or a sweeter bow, or wrap cleanly around the waist with no peek at the garment in between the belt layers for a sharp, crisp look. Wrap just once and leave long tails for a romantic, trailing look with lots of motion. There are endless options for styling this light, versatile piece.

My favorite way to wear this is in monochromatic outfits with a matching top or dress, but contrast is also eye-catching. Use it to close open-front jackets or to rein in the flowing fabric on a Harlow Dress.

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Linen Gauze

    Fiber Content: 100% Linen

Description: A gorgeous lightweight linen gauze that has a wonderful texture. The crinkled finish gives the fabric an inherent stretch. It's airy and floaty without being too sheer, hugging the body in slimmer styles and draping beautifully in others. It's lighter than our midweight linen, but still strong and durable. It will only soften and improve with age, starting out with a coarser finish but with the ability to become more supple and flexible with wear. We love linen because of the natural strength and durability the fiber possesses, and because it is a very friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing, is virtually lint-free, hypoallergenic, extremely comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent. This yarn-dyed gauze possesses rustic charm and variation, giving it an organic personality.

Care: Hand or machine wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry hot. Store folded or flat in order to avoid stretching. If stretching occurs, machine wash and dry to return to its original shape. The crinkled finish is intentional, so do not press. To remove fold creases or wrinkles, lightly steam or toss in the dryer with a damp towel. Avoid excessive stress on seams.

*Linen is a natural fiber and will fade and wear over time, which we love. If you prefer your garments to not show as much wear, hand wash, and do not tumble dry.

Versatile and unique

The linen gauze serpentine belt is versatile and unique and transforms the Petra and Polly tanks into cute 1950’s tops that can be worn with skinny jeans or Flo’s. Double wrap it for a sleek polished look or wrap once with knot or bow for a more relaxed look.

I bought this to wear

I bought this to wear with the Artist Dress and it really elevated the dress to another level for me. Have had so many compliments on the outfit. I'm sure I will find the belt useful to wear with other dresses too. Love it!
