  • Description

A sleeveless, cold weather version of the Parabola Top, aptly named by one of our brilliant sewers for the curved inset panels at each hip, providing body, shape, and swing that move with you. This top is slightly A-line, with a high boat neck and deep armholes. Meant for bulk-free layering, it functions almost as a vest, keeping your chest and trunk warm while allowing your arms the ability to move with ease.

In Heavyweight Wool, this is one of the more avant-garde and interesting pieces in the collection. I find it highly wearable, but it's less conventional than our classic tops and jackets. The curves provide drama and movement without widening the whole body, and it's perfect to reign in more flowy tops or to layer over turtlenecks and sweaters.

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Heavyweight Wool

Fiber Content: 60% Climate Beneficial Wool, 40% Alpaca, domestically sourced

Description: An immeasurably soft, heavyweight, plainweave wool that holds the shape of our garments with integrity. Gorgeous visible texture and supple, rich handfeel. Not at all itchy, and super warm without excessive weight. Our wool-alpaca blend is as breathable as it is insulating. Because of its moisture wicking properties, it’s sure to keep you comfortable on a brisk winter day. Our wool is washed in house to give it a brushed, organic finish. Heathered yarn blends natural and colored fiber together for a variegated, earthy appearance.

Care: Hand wash with cold water and wool detergent. Lay flat to dry. For a sharp suiting look, press on high heat with steam and a wool clapper.

*Due to wool's short staple fibers, some pilling is to be expected in areas of high friction. Use a wool brick or sweater shaver to remove pills.

This top is on my regular rotation since receiving it a couple months ago. So far I've worn it over a slip dress, tee's, long-sleeve tops as well as on its own. It's swingy with a wonderful drape to it, comfortable, and so fun to wear. For heavyweight wool, it's quite lightweight and there's absolutely no-itchiness whatsoever. It's a beautiful piece and something I will be wearing for years to come.

surprise favorite

I've been reaching for this top a lot this winter. Its gently swoopy shape offers a cool riff on the sweater-vest. It looks great over a button-up, and I especially like it over a denim shirt for a low-high mashup. It's also a great way to add warmth to an outfit but still allowing for total mobility: it's roomy in the armholes and trunk and is a cinch to layer under coats.
