Tell me about this workshop!
In this workshop you'll learn how to sew our cult-classic Georgia Tee from start to finish.
This four-week, live workshop is for total beginners, and we'll go over alll the basics. No garment sewing experience is needed, but you should have the basic equipment necessary and start getting familiar with it. I can provide recommendations if needed!
You'll learn how to use your machine, measure yourself, assemble and cut out your pattern, cut out your fabric, sew the pieces together, finish the seams, and finish the neckline and hem. It's truly a learn-by-doing experience and you will be pleasantly surprised by what you're capable of, I promise!
You'll end with a completed garment made by you, and the skills to start working on your next project right away!
Who is this for?
This workshop is for total beginners with little to no garment sewing experience.

How do live virtual workshops work?
This is a live, 4-week workshop that's hosted virtually. You'll get access to our workshop platform which includes a community forum, other resources and guides, and access to join all the live video classes (it functions just like a Zoom call) along with the recordings after each class.
You don't need any special equipment or software to join the calls, you just join right from your internet browser, and your device's built-in camera and microphone should work just fine.
I teach the entire project live, and you are able to ask questions and interact in real-time. The recorded classes are then available to you for life to re-watch at your convenience.
What's included?

Core Pattern & Resources
- Georgia Series digital pattern: our best-selling, beginner-friendly PDF pattern in Tee, Dress, and Midi lengths

What tools/equipment do I need to have?
- A sewing machine in good working order capable of a straight stitch and ideally a zig-zag stitch
- At least two new, sharp machine needles appropriate for your fabric (a Universal 80/12 is a great start)
- Fabric shears
- Pins and/or pattern weights
- Seam ripper (no shame in the frogging game!)
- Iron and ironing board
What other supplies will I need?
- 1.5-2 yards of lightweight, woven fabric
- All-purpose polyester thread. I recommend Gutermann Mara 100 for almost all projects, and it’s the thread we’ve manufactured with for years
- Tailors chalk or fabric marking pen
- Printed copy of the Georgia Pattern (the digital pattern is included with the workshop, you can print at home or order a full-size printed copy prior to the workshop)
What happens next?
Immediately after you check-out, you'll receive an email with an invitation to our private Skool group. This will let you access our community platform, and this is where the workshop classes will be hosted when they occur.
Once you're logged in, you'll find a brief video that walks you through the platform, and then you can get started right away by downloading your pattern files and starting to gather your tools and supplies.
You'll get an email from me as the workshop date approaches with more information and details!
