The Clyde Jumpsuit is a great all-purpose jumpsuit with large, crescent-shaped pockets spanning the side of the jumpsuit leg. Unique, three-panel design results in vertical seams along the center front and back of each leg in addition to the inseam, allowing for limitless fit adjustments and style changes. Use this classic, building-block jumpsuit as a jumping-off point for a variety of wardrobe staples that will serve you well for years.

Large pockets are the iconic feature of the Clyde. I created the side panel crescent pocket as a solution for bulky and crinkly pocket bags that are often a hallmark of inseam pockets. They are large enough to be truly functional and are just a hair wider than the side body panel for ease of use.

Medium-width shoulder straps and a scooped neckline make this jumpsuit perfectly suitable to wear on its own, or over a thin top or sweater like overalls. In a soft linen, this jumpsuit feels seasonless and relaxed. In a heavier canvas or wool, it's indestructible.

Fabric, Tools, & Notions

We recommend medium-weight fabrics with no stretch. Linen, cotton, hemp, in plainweaves or canvas will work well. Lighter weight fabrics will add more drape, and heavier fabrics will result in a more structured garment. Ensure that whatever material you choose can hold up in the pocket area.

You'll need:

-Fabric of your choice--see detailed fabric requirements here.

-All purpose polyester thread

-Sewing machine (capable of a straight stitch)

-Needle

Simple to sew; looks exactly like what it was advertised to be; love the finished product on the inside (very neat and professional looking) and the outside; comfortable.

WHAT MAKES OUR PATTERNS DIFFERENT

PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES

My patterns feature the same sewing methods and construction techniques that are used to produce my garments at scale, making your sewing projects simpler, more efficient, and more fun.

TRIED & TESTED STYLES

My patterns have been in production and sold as finished garments for nearly a decade. I know these silhouettes work, I've made them in a myriad of different fabrics, I've incorporated years of customer fit and wear feedback over time, and thousands of folks have purchased and worn these styles, so you know they'll stand the test of time.

INCLUSIVE SIZING

All my patterns are available in the same size range as our finished products, which includes sizes XXS-4XL, and I'm always working towards including more folks in our size offerings.

BEAUTIFUL INSTRUCTIONS

I relish in finding beauty and joy in small doses everywhere I can, and our detailed, thorough instructions for each pattern are no exception. They are designed to be inspiring and fun to look at as you sew through our styles, and hopefully return to them again and again.

LIFETIME ACCESS

Pattern files are constantly improving based on customer feedback and my own experience, and every pattern purchase gains you access to the the most current version. When updates are made, you'll automatically receive an e-mail with new files.

Making Spring while the snow melts in New Hampshire

I’ve made the Jumpsuit twice in the last two weeks and have the material for two more…that says it all, I think! I used a hand painted medium weight yellow cotton for my granddaughter and it was so delightful a combination that she wanted to ‘fill the pockets”! A patch denim in shades of blue will be a new uniform for me and a 100% cotton canvas weave washed and ready for another daughter’s summer outfit waits next to my machines. I usually can’t repeat the same pattern but it went together really well, everything in the pattern was correct so the work was especially satisfying and the final product rewarding…like you would want it to be! Thanks, I enjoyed every minute of it. Lauren

Looks fabulous. Very comfortable. Easy to sew.
Sizing did not work for me. Measured my body and per pattern sizing I was large. I sewed up a large and it was huge. Had to do a lot of adjusting. Would size it down to small next time.

Surprised

I bought your pattern after not being able to find anything suitable at a fabric store where patterns are almost nonexistent in our area. After 45 years of sewing I was a little shocked at the price. I was also shocked that I had to print out over 50 pages of the pattern and instructions and then piece it together. I naively thought at that price I was getting it mailed to me printed out. Did not see "digital" on the pintrest site. I still haven't sewn it so can't comment on pattern. And unfortunately due to Mr. Trump's theatrical politics and his disregard for Canada and Canadians, not to mention his own people of different ethnicities and personal choices and the rest of the world, I am on principal not supporting anything American. Take care. Susi
