  • Description

A masculine trouser that evokes just the right amount of 90s business-suit drama but is tapered and balanced enough to feel modern. Elegant high waist, gorgeous front pleats for drama, and sleek back darts for shape. In soft Midweight Linen, these feel like the ultimate west coast luxury. They'll adopt wrinkles gracefully and look even better broken in. I love this pant paired with a matching jacket and a sleek turtleneck underneath or layered under a long dress with shiny loafers.

Love this style? It comes in other fabrics and colors too. Shop the Andy Series!

  • Material & Care

    Fabric: Midweight Linen

    Fiber Content: 100% Linen

Description: Medium weight, sturdy broadcloth linen that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. Linen possesses natural strength and durability, and it's a super friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing and is virtually lint free, hypoallergenic, comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent.

Care: Machine washable. Wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry warm. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look (as pictured here), or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.

*Linen is a natural fiber and will fade and wear over time, which we love. If you prefer your garments to not show as much wear, hand wash and do not tumble dry.

*Garment measurements were taken flat, so double where necessary. All measurements are approximate, +/- a tolerance that is to be expected with handmade clothing.

Natalie’s waist places her in a Medium while her hips place her in a Large. To demonstrate a slimmer fit, Natalie wears a Medium in our product photos. Please note that sizing down may cause quicker wear and tear on a garment. If you too are in between sizes and intend to wear your pant regularly, then we suggest sizing up, particularly in Silk Crepe.

Comfortable and versatile

I have the Andy’s in 2 sizes. And 3 colors. They look good under a tunic or longer top, sometimes belted with an Asawa belt. They make a nice suit withe the Harper or Clyde trench. The flax go with everything. The silhouette allows for great styling options, offsetting the lack of pockets. I wear mine casually on the weekends and to work with the right top and shoes. The waistband on the small is very snug, but the rest of the pant fits well. The waist of the medium is comfortable but the pant is a bit more voluminous. I wear them all.

Lasted < 3 months for an XL wearer

Unfortunately these only lasted me just shy of 3 months before developing wear holes in the inner thighs. I just can’t justify spending 205 on pants that can only last that long! I truly commend the brand for aiming to serve all/most sizes, however, if you’re going to serve plus size (which I didn’t even purchase one of their new plus size offerings) you need to do better wear and fabric testing. Someone who is 200+ lbs and wearing a 2X can’t wear the same fabric as your XXS wearer and get the same longevity out of it. I really feel that needs to be addressed otherwise serving your 1X-3X crowd is in vain.

I had owned a pair of Clyde’s a year or so back and had the same problem but I was wearing them in a much smaller size for a tighter fit (I was also smaller at the time) and read some reviews that the black linen seemed to wear faster so I figured I’d give these loose Andy’s in natural a go. I measured into the XXL which I ordered, however it was huge and falling down my waist. The XL is still very loose but more appropriately to the style. Clearly I still ran into the same problem again.

I can’t in good conscious recommend these to anyone whose thighs rub together when they walk or who walks a lot. (I’m both-live in NYC-no car for me!) Unless you don’t mind the big short term investment. 💸

Favorite Pant in the Entire Universe

I have the Andy in black and Oatmeal colors and I honestly can't live without them. I wear them for every kind of occasion as I am able to easily dress them up or down. they look put together but feel like loungewear. My next purchase will be the Andy in silk!

Andy trouser in mid weight linen

Recently got my order and l love it. It has perfect fit and looks beautiful. I ordered XXS short. But if some one is looking for longer length, l think regular would do in that case.

comfy like pijamas, chic and flattering enough for work

I’ve been a fan of ES pieces for years and basically live in my Harper tunics. I’ve been hesitant to purchase pants because of fitting difficulties, but I’m soooo glad I finally took the plunge! I’m super self conscious of my tummy and usually just wear skinny jeans with looser tops because nothing else fits right, but I’ve gotten sick of tight fitting pants (especially in the summer) and the Andy trousers are the perfect solution. They’re tailored but also comfy and loose. I purchased the linen in the natural color and the drape is so flattering from all angles, and somehow doesn’t look bad or bunch with billowy tops / sweaters tucked in. The front pleats even slim down the tummy pooch. I wear these lounging at home but also to brunch and even work. Originally purchased an XL because I wanted the slouchy fit, but exchanged for the L, which is plenty roomy and more flattering.

Wonderful wonderful trouser

It took me a while to get to writing this review, but I knew I had to because such craftmanship should never go unacknowledged. I've never owned anything like this trouser. It's impeccable: beautiful and practical. In the few months I've had it, it stayed crisp and comfortable through transatlantic flights, hot and humid days in Tel Aviv, professional engagements and leisure time. The quality is otherworldly. It also receives a lot of compliments! The first day I wore it, someone actually shouted at me from across a busy path to tell me how good it looked. I also appreciate that it's easy to clean, and even the one time somebody spilled ketchup all over my white Andy and I nearly had a heart attack, it all came out without a trace.

The only disadvantage I can think of is that for (like I've seen another reviewer say), I have to pull on the trousers a little to get them over my hips. But once they're on they're perfect.

CLOSET ESSENTIAL

I bought these in the flax color and I LOVE IT. I was worried that the linen would be too itchy but NOPE! They're comfortable and so beautiful. If you're on the fence about these, just get them! I would also like to note that these run large, I had purchased both these and the silk in medium and had to exchange these for a smaller size. But it was worth the wait!

The perfect trouser

I love these trousers. The linen feels substantial without feeling too thick or heavy, and they fit beautifully. I bought the 2x, although my hip measurement is 1/2” larger than recommended on the size chart for the 2x, and the fit is still roomy but not too much so. They have a very menswear, classic trouser look that I love, and is exactly what I wanted. I have these in silk in the 3x and I love them too (so much that I wrote an ode to them in my review), but the linen seems to showcase the wonderful structure of these trousers in a way that the silk does not.

Oh, and the flax linen is a gorgeous colour - so luminous and interesting.

How does one expect me to wear anything else?!

I absolutely love these pants. Somehow they miraculously mix comfort (like secretly wearing pajamas all day!) with elegance and can be dressed up or down. I recently wore them on a 10 hour flight and they held their shape and didn't wrinkle to much after the many hours of cramped wear. I ordered a Tall as I am 5'8" and they fit fine, but could have gone with a Regular length with no issue as well! I hope to wear these pants until the seams fall out. And at that time will promptly order another. They are simply perfect!
